Boat Fuel Finder — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SeaSure INC ("SeaSure," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Boat Fuel Finder, the website and services available at boatfuelprice.com and related domains (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

Boat Fuel Finder is a standalone fuel-price information service operated by SeaSure INC. This Privacy Policy applies only to Boat Fuel Finder. It does not apply to the separate SeaSure marine maintenance platform, which has its own privacy terms.

The Service is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. (See Section 11.)

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Email address. We collect your email when you sign up for updates, create an account, subscribe to alerts, submit a fuel-price report, or contact us.
  • Fuel-price submissions. When you submit a price report, we collect the station, fuel type, observed price, date, and how you observed the price (e.g., posted sign, receipt, verbal quote), along with any notes you provide.
  • Communications. If you email or contact us, we keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Optional account details. If you create an account, we may collect a username, display name, and home cruising region.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Approximate location. We may infer your general location from your IP address, or use your device's precise location if you grant permission (for example, to center the map near you). You can disable precise location in your device or browser settings at any time.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 6.

Information from third-party sources:

  • We ingest marina, fuel-dock, and pricing data from third-party data sources (such as marina directories, public APIs, and market-data providers). This is data about fuel stations and markets, not about you.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including the interactive map, regional dashboards, and Market Pulse signals;
  • Display, verify, and improve the quality of fuel-price data;
  • Send you emails you have signed up for, and other communications about the Service (see Section 5);
  • Send you marketing and promotional messages, from which you may opt out at any time;
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide support;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems;
  • Analyze usage to understand and improve how the Service performs; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. How We Share Information

We share information in the following ways:

a. Service providers (processors). We use third-party vendors to operate the Service — for example, hosting and infrastructure providers, our email-delivery provider, map and mapping-data providers, and analytics providers. These vendors process information on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.

b. Third-party companies for their own marketing (U.S. users only). If you are located in the United States, we may share your email address with third-party companies (such as marine, boating, and related businesses) so that they can send you their own offers and communications. We will not share your email for this purpose if you have opted out (see Section 5). We do not share the email addresses of users located outside the United States with third parties for those third parties' own marketing. Once a third party receives your email, that third party's use of it is governed by its own privacy policy, not ours.

c. Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SeaSure, our users, or others.

d. Business transfers. If SeaSure INC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

e. Aggregated or de-identified data. We may share aggregated or de-identified information (which cannot reasonably be used to identify you) for any purpose, including market analysis and reporting.

We do not sell your email address as a one-off list transaction beyond the third-party marketing sharing described in Section 4(b); however, note that under some laws (including California law) the sharing described in 4(b) may itself be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. See Section 9 for your rights.

5. Your Email & Marketing Choices

How we communicate with you depends in part on where you are located:

  • Marketing emails (U.S. users). If you are in the United States, we may send you marketing emails on an opt-out basis. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by emailing info@seasure.ai. We will honor opt-out requests promptly (and within the time required by law).
  • Marketing emails (users outside the U.S.). If you are located outside the United States, we send you marketing emails only where we have obtained your consent as required by your local law (for example, in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Canada). You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing info@seasure.ai.
  • Third-party sharing opt-out (U.S. users). The sharing of your email with third parties for their own marketing (Section 4(b)) applies only to U.S. users. If you are a U.S. user, you may opt out at any time by emailing info@seasure.ai or using the opt-out controls we provide. Opting out stops future sharing; it does not recall emails already shared with a third party. We do not share the email addresses of users outside the U.S. with third parties for their own marketing.
  • Service messages. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you non-promotional messages about your account, security, or material changes to the Service.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We and our analytics providers use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep the map and Service working, measure usage, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service functions.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Fuel-price submissions and the underlying price observations may be retained indefinitely as part of the historical pricing dataset, but we will de-identify any personal details associated with a submission when it is no longer needed to operate the Service.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to and deletion of it, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. As described in Section 4(b), our sharing of email addresses with third parties for their marketing may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under California law. To exercise the right to opt out, email info@seasure.ai or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control on the Service. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

EU/UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing, including direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights, email info@seasure.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Canadian residents. You have rights to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent to certain uses, subject to legal and contractual limits.

To make any request, contact us at info@seasure.ai. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

10. International Data Transfers

SeaSure INC is based in the United States, and the Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at info@seasure.ai.

12. Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may link to or display data from third-party websites and services (such as marina sites or data sources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Their use of any information you provide to them is governed by their own policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice (such as a notice on the Service or by email). Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
